![]() It's a great book for students to read because it causes them to think, to feel, and to analyze the potential effect of unintended consequences. ![]() The "violence" in this story only reveals the idiosyncrasies of adults wanting to "save" babies and the much-later and therefore far more convoluted reality that not all teenagers are wanted. To me, the novel is no more disturbing the story of Solomon and the baby from 1 Kings in the Bible. In Neal Shusterman’s New York Times bestselling Unwind Dystology series, three friends fight to change their fate in a world where all teenagers are at risk of being unwoundhaving their bodies dismantled and all the parts distributed for transplant. The author manifests this FICTIONAL world to have us process the possibility of a reality in which pro-life and pro-choice extremists have finally come to "agreement." Sounds great, right? Well, not exactly. ![]() The point to consider is that, it is not MEANT to be pleasant. ![]() The corrupt company is planning to mass-produce. As the person in the classroom, I would say I have had many students, literally aghast and horrified as we read, what is obviously, a horrific experience of a child being taken apart (consciously but not in any pain) by a team of doctors and nurses. Please Note That The Following Individual Books As Per Original ISBN and Cover Image In this Listing shall be Dispatched Collectively: The Ultimate Unwind Dystology Collection 5 Books Box Set by Neal Shusterman: UnDivided: Cam was only the start of Proactive Citizenry’s plans for rewound teens. As an English teacher who has taught this for four years, I have had one parent tell me that her child was uncomfortable with this book. ![]()
